Illegal weapon—Aug 16, 12:22 p.m., 100 block of N. Wolfe Road. An officer on patrol observed fireworks being discharged from a business. The officer contacted two employees of the business and the men admitted to discharging the fireworks.
Disturbing the peace—Aug 16, 2:05 a.m., 200 block of W. Washington Avenue. An officer observed 12 men fighting in the parking lot of a department store. He saw one man repeatedly striking an unknown person with clenched fists.
Auto burglary—Aug 16, 12:45 a.m., 600 block of E. Olive Avenue. An unknown person used an unknown tool to forcibly smash the victim's right front passenger window. The person destroyed the front dashboard directly surrounding the stereo and removed the stereo from the car. The damage to the car is unknown and the stolen items are worth $350.
Vandalism—Aug 14, 6 p.m., 700 block of Morse Avenue. Graffiti in a school's multipurpose room.
Rape—Aug 9, 9:20 a.m., 900 block of W. Fremont Avenue. A man picked up a woman from her San Jose home. He drove her to Sunnyvale and parked his vehicle. He forcibly removed her from his vehicle and took her to a secluded location in a business park. He ordered her to remove her pants and proceeded to have sexual intercourse with her against her will. The woman suffered contusions to her left forehead and neck and damage to her left arm and leg.
