Mayor's behavior at meeting is embarrassing
I read with great interest the letter from Howard Flood on the July 30 Sunnyvale Sun. It is quite obvious that Mr. Flood did not see the now infamous council meeting of July 15.
The meeting went approximately five hours, but the most interesting part was the last hour.
The mayor's behavior was appalling and as a citizen, I was truly embarrassed. I would encourage Mr. Flood and others to check the tape out of the library and watch it and then make the statement he did.
While everyone has their good days and bad days, it seems Mayor Miller is having more bad days than good.
Her personal attacks on other council members and staff seems to be increasing. And Fred Fowler (the one who asks endless, droning, repetitive questions) and the gum-chewing, half-asleep John Howe are of no help.
And I agree with David Lee who wrote in his letter that [when] council members Walker, Vorreiter and Valerio [leave the council in November] will be a big loss to the council. They, along with the vice mayor, are the only ones that ever come prepared for council meetings. Walker, Vorreiter, Valerio and Risch have the intelligence and the dignity that Miller, Howe and Fowler seem to be lacking.
