Election forum for council candidates
Vision New America and the Organization of Chinese Americans, Silicon Valley chapter, will host a forum for candidates running for the Sunnyvale City Council.
The mission of Vision New America is to increase the civic participation of minorities, starting with Asian Pacific Americans.
The organization's director Anna Wang says, "I often hear from registered voters that they don't know who to vote for, so they don't cast a ballot. Holding candidates' forums addresses that excuse and helps raise voter turnout."
The event will take place on Sept. 25 at the Community Building at Las Palmas Park at 850 Russett Drive in Sunnyvale. There are eight candidates running for council.
The Forum will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
