Auto burglary—Oct. 18, 1:30 p.m., 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. An uPossession of a switchblade knife—Oct. 26, 11:35 p.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Ave. Security personnel at a nightclub detained a man and his friend for possessing an illegal butterfly knife. When officers arrived on scene, the man admitted the knife was his but did not know it was illegal to possess one. An officer arrested the man and released him from public safety headquarters with a citation. The butterfly knife was booked into evidence.
Petty theft—Oct. 25, 9:25 p.m., 700 block of E. El Camino Real. A person entered a store, removed several items and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. Store security personnel detained the person. An officer later arrested and booked the person into county jail.
Auto burglary—Oct. 25, 6 p.m., 400 block of N. Mathilda Ave. An unknown person forced entry into a parked vehicle and removed a car stereo and sunglasses worth a total of $550.
Unlicensed driver—Oct. 24, 7:54 p.m., 900 block of E. El Camino Real. An officer observed two men digging through a dumpster. The officer stopped the men before they drove away and found the driver did not have a valid California drivers' license. The officer arrested, cited and released the man from public safety headquarters. His vehicle was impounded.
