Fowler's message may forcast planned agenda

I recieved a letter with a San Francisco postmark of Dec.10. My name was on an address label and there was no return address. My first inclination was to toss it in the fireplace, but because of the season I thought it was possibly someone's Christmas letter and the return overlooked.

Imagine my surprise when I opened it up and saw "President's Message." I was even more surprised when I saw it was from the Sunnyvale Democratic Party and was written by our esteemed Counciman Fred Fowler.

The message read as follows:

"Greetings Democrats! I write this on the weekend after the November 4th election, and while it is too soon to describe all of the changes that are in store, it is fair to say that a turning point in Sunnyvale politics has been reached. 'THE CITY COUNCIL IS NOW A 'REPUBLICAN FREE ZONE.'"

Well, as a registered Republican and a supporter of Tim Risch for re-election, I wonder just how much our "group of 4" on the council had to do with perpetuating all the bad press and the actions of the PSOA. Could it be Promises, Promises? After all, former Councilman Risch is a Republican and was outspoken about the antics of our former mayor and her lack of finesse. ( I am being polite).

Look out folks, looks like a well-planned agenda.
