Lakewood Pony

The Lakewood Pony Baseball League in Sunnyvale will hold registration for the 2004 season on Saturdays, 10 a.m.­2 p.m., beginning Jan. 17 at Lakewood Park, 834 Lakechime Drive. The league is open to boys and girls ages 5­12 and the season runs from April to June.

The player fees range from $55-70, and fee waivers are available. Players must provide birth certificate at the registration. For more information, visit www.LakewoodPonyBaseball.com or call 408.245.PONY.

Drop-in basketball

The City of Sunnyvale is offering a drop-in gym program beginning Jan. 17, 9 a.m.­3 p.m., for families that want to play basketball. The cost is $2 per child and $4 per adult. The minimum age level is 6 years old.

SNLL sign-ups

The Sunnyvale National Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2004 spring season for all divisions in January at the Washington Park building, located on Washington Avenue near Pastoria Avenue.

Sign-ups will be held Saturdays, 8 a.m.­noon, and Thursdays, 5­8 p.m., throughout January. Players must provide proof of residency, birth certificate and medical information.

Sunnyvale Metro

The Sunnyvale Metro Little League will hold registration for the 2004 season for boys ages 5­12 and girls ages 5­18 on Jan. 14, 4­8 p.m., at Raynor Park, 1565 Quail Ave. The season begins in March and ends in May.
