The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Possession of marijuana—Jan. 19, 4:42 p.m., Caliente Drive and North Fair Oaks Avenue. A man was arrested for a vehicle code violation. A record check showed his license was suspended. A search of his vehicle revealed 42.6 grams of marijuana. The man was arrested and booked into county jail and the car was impounded.

Unlawful use of a telephone—Jan. 19, 6:53 a.m., 700 block of East El Camino Real. It was reported that in November, a woman employed at a cellular-phone store made several annoying or harassing phone calls or text messages to a man. The woman also used her position at the store to access the man's phone number, cancel his service twice, and reroute all his incoming calls to the Santa Clara County Women's Correctional Facility.

Possession of a controlled substance—Jan. 19, 2:18 a.m., 100 block of West Weddell Drive. Early in the morning an officer stopped a vehicle for making an illegal three-point turn. After searching the vehicle, the officer found 3.6 grams of methamphetamine, 0.1 grams of marijuana and a burnt glass pipe with crystalline residue inside. The driver appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested without incident.

Possession of marijuana—Jan. 18, 6:40 p.m., 300 block of Stowell Avenue. A large amount of a green, leafy substance was found in a house. Also found in the residence were several marijuana plants and lights used to grow them indoors. Both occupants were arrested for possession and cultivation of marijuana.
