SNLL tryouts

The Sunnyvale National Little League will hold baseball and girls softball tryouts--rain or shine--on Feb. 7 and 8 at Washington Park, located on Washington Avenue near Pastoria Avenue in Sunnyvale.

Baseball tryouts will begin at 8 a.m. for players ages 7­8, 9 a.m. for players ages 9­10 and 10 a.m. for players ages 11­12. Girls softball tryouts will begin at 9 a.m. for players ages 7­9 and at 10 a.m. for players ages 10­12.

Challenger baseball

The District 44 Little League is holding sign-ups for its Challenger Division, a program designed for players ages 7­17 who are physically or mentally disabled. Registration is free and the season runs from March to June.

Rod, car show

The third annual Street Rod and Classic Car show will be held May 22, 9 a.m.­3 p.m., at San Jose City College on Moorpark Avenue in San Jose. The event is free to the public. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Student Book Scholarship Fund at the school. For more information, visit www.sjcc.edu/carshow.

Pony Baseball

Sunnyvale­Cupertino Pony Baseball League will hold tryouts for the 2004 season on Feb. 7, 10 a.m.­noon, at Cupertino Middle School. The league is open to players ages 13­14 and registration will be accepted at the tryout session. For more information call 408.245.7669.
