Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Domestic battery—Feb. 15, 1:36 a.m., 1500 block of Ashcroft Way. Officers responded to the house of a man who had pushed his wife into a wall and pushed his son's adult girlfriend to the ground during a family disturbance. He was arrested for domestic violence, processed and sent to county jail.

Unlawful possession of a weapon—Feb. 15, 12:43 a.m., 800 block of Morse Avenue. A man was stopped in connection with a fight. He was uncooperative with officers and taken into custody after a concealed weapon was found in his waistband.

Domestic battery—Feb. 14, 11:20 p.m., 1300 block of Chesapeake Avenue. Officers responded to a hotel room after an unknown person called 911 and hung up the phone. They found a boyfriend and his girlfriend who had been physically fighting. During the fight, the boyfriend injured the girlfriend. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

False identification—Feb. 14, 9:04 p.m., 300 block of East Maude Avenue. A man was stopped as a potential prowler. He gave a false name and date of birth to the officer. His true identity was later confirmed and he was arrested without incident.

Possession of a controlled substance—Feb. 14, 3:09 a.m., Bernardo and Evelyn avenues. A man was found around a vehicle parked in a closed parking lot. A pipe used to smoke amphetamines was found in plain view inside his van. The man was arrested without incident.
