Time to think of plans for swimming
Spring is just around the corner and the temperature is rising, which means it's time to think about signing up for swimming lessons.
The city of Sunnyvale is now offering signups for its preschool, youth, teen and adult swim lessons for the spring and summer.
Spring classes begin April 6 and are filling up fast. Summer lessons start in May.
Signups are at the community center, 550 E. Remington Drive, or call 408.730.7341 to register by phone.
Public invited to Moffett meeting
The U.S. Navy wants the public to be involved and to understand the Moffett Field environmental cleanup program, so anyone interested is invited to the next Restoration Advisory Board's regular meeting, March 11, 79:30 p.m., in the Mountain View City Hall, Fourth Floor Gallery, 500 Castro St., Mountain View.
The RAB is comprised of concerned citizens, business leaders, NASA and regulatory agencies who, throughout the restoration process, advise the Navy on community concerns, promote community awareness of cleanup issues and encourage community involvement.
Documents about the Moffett Field Installation Restoration Program can be found at the information repository located in the Mountain View Public Library, 585 Franklin St., Mountain View.
For more information, contact Andrea Espinoza, the Navy's BRAC environmental coordinator, at 619.532.0911 or email andrea.espinoza@navy.mil.
