Robbery—March 7, 12 p.m., El Camino Real and Cezanne Drive. A man threw a lit cigarette into another man's car. The second man then followed the first man in his car, called the police and reported his location and license plate number. The man who threw the cigarette then pulled his car over, approached the other man in his car, grabbed his phone, threw it on the ground and drove off. He was later identified and arrested.
Battery—March 7, 3 a.m., 500 block of East Duane Avenue. A dating couple got in a fight over a set of car keys and the man locked the woman out of the house they shared. She managed to get back inside, and he pushed her out the door again. The man then grabbed her by the face and neck and hit her head against the kitchen window.
Assault with a deadly weapon—March 6, 7:26 p.m., 400 block of Southwood Avenue. An unknown man entered a residential garage carrying a revolver handgun in his right hand. He pushed a man to the floor and grabbed him by the throat while attempting to force the gun into his mouth. The man being held down fought back and was shot once in the leg. The man with the gun then left the garage and fled the scene.
Assault with a deadly weapon—March 6, 12 p.m., 800 block of White Oak Lane. A man entered another person's home unlawfully and attacked the resident with a butcher knife he had taken from the kitchen.
