Spousal battery—March 15, 3:35 p.m., 1300 block of South Wolfe Road. An officer responded to a call about a verbal dispute. He contacted a woman who said she had been pushed and held down by her husband, preventing her from calling 911, and that she feared continued violence.
Burglary—March 15, 6 a.m., 900 block of Kifer Road. A woman discovered that over the weekend, an unknown person or persons had cut through the security gate, forced their way into five delivery trucks and stolen the keys for each vehicle and around $550 in Pepsi products.
Under the influence of a controlled substance—March 14, 4:30 p.m., 1100 block of North Lawrence Expressway. An officer in full uniform approached two men sitting in a minivan. While approaching the vehicle, the officer saw several empty bottles of alcohol behind the driver's seat. The driver had glassy eyes and constricted pupils and was breathing rapidly. Field tests determined that he was under the influence of a controlled substance and he was arrested.
Possession of a controlled substance, stimulant—March 13, 5:34 p.m., 600 block of East Taylor Avenue. An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a driver. While attempting to consume the evidence, the driver failed to yield to the officer. A search of the vehicle revealed illegal substances, and a subsequent search of the man's nearby hotel room revealed another person under the influence of a stimulant.
