Dao Pham's deployment to Iraq came in January this year. But within weeks this 20-year-old Sunnyvale resident and U.S. Army specialist found her purpose in the middle of growing insurgency and bloodshed. For the wounded soldiers recuperating far away from home in a sterile, unfamiliar Army hospital, Dao Pham is their modern-day Florence Nightingale.
