'Tino golf tourney

A golf tournament to raise funds for the Cupertino High School football program will be held May 16 at the SummitPointe Golf Course in Milpitas. There are 72 spots available in the tournament that will begin with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.

The entry fee of $90 per player includes green fees, a golf cart, a barbecue dinner, tee prizes and awards. There will also be a raffle and auction. All proceeds from the event will go toward equipment and uniforms for the Cupertino football team.

Tournament organizers are also looking for anyone interested in donating a raffle prize or sponsoring a hole.

Golf tourney

The first annual golf tournament to benefit the Santa Clara University men's soccer team will be held at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose on May 18, with a shotgun start set for 1:30 p.m.

The tournament will be followed by a dinner, awards ceremony, auction and raffle held inside the banquet room at the golf course. The $250 registration fee includes green fees and cart, range balls, lunch and dinner.

The third annual Street Rod and Classic Car show will be held May 22, 9 a.m.­3 p.m., at San Jose City College on Moorpark Avenue in San Jose. The event is free to the public. For more information, visit www.sjcc.edu/carshow.
