The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Battery—May 16, 12:25 p.m., 900 block of Corte Madera Avenue. A man said he and his new girlfriend were assaulted in his residence by his ex-girlfriend and her family. The ex-girlfriend told officers that she had gone to the man's house to get some personal items, and was assaulted by the new girlfriend. All parties agreed that it was mutual combat, and no one pressed charges.

Personal injury on city property—May 15, 1:47 p.m., 800 block of Russet Drive. A young girl was running down a smooth rock on a water slide when she slipped and fell. Because of a cast on her right arm, she held her left out to break her fall, and wound up with a possible broken left arm. She was taken to the hospital by her mother and X-rayed.

Vehicle theft—May 14, 10:57 p.m., Fair Oaks and Duane avenues. An officer stopped a car for a vehicle code violation and found that it had been reported stolen. The driver was arrested and a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia were found in his possession. The passenger in the car was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and both were arrested and booked into jail.

Under the influence—May 14, 9:48 p.m., 1000 block of Lakechime Drive. An officer stopped a vehicle for not having a front license plate. He smelled alcohol on the driver's clothes and breath and found that the man had drank three beers but was not considered under the influence of the alcohol. The driver appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant and was arrested and booked into county jail.
