Under the influence of a controlled substance—May 22, 7:32 p.m., 100 block of Elm Court. Responding to reports of possible drug sales, an officer contacted two people who matched suspect descriptions. One of the men contacted showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. After field sobriety tests, both men were arrested and booked into jail.
Commercial burglary—May 22, 4:30 p.m., 100 block of E. Fremont Avenue. On Saturday afternoon, a man entered a locker room with bolt cutters and used them to break into a locker to steal two credit cards and $40 from another person's wallet. The man was later arrested in Cupertino with the stolen items on his person.
Resisting a peace officer—May 22, 1:53 a.m., S. Murphy and Evelyn avenues. An officer was flagged down about a fight on Murphy Street. One of the men involved refused to follow the officer's orders after being separated from the others involved.
Automobile burglary—May 21, 6 p.m., 100 block of Carbonera Avenue. A woman parked and locked her car on the street. When she returned to it the next day, she found someone had stolen her stereo and a black folder with her registration and insurance information in it.
Grand theft—May 21, 3 p.m., 800 block of Piper Avenue. A man contracted to help a woman move stole more than $11,000 worth of jewelry from her. When he was found, he was in possession of a controlled substance.
