Government access
stations changing

KSUN-18, the city of Sunnyvale's government access channel—home of city council broadcasts and other community meetings—is moving to channel 15 as of June 2.

As part of Comcast's cable station reassignments, channel 60—the city's public access television station—is also moving, to channel 26.

No programming or availability changes are coming with the change; the move is simply a matter of reassigning channel numbers.

Summer arts camps accepting youths

The end of the school year doesn't mean the end of arts education for Sunnyvale students.

Starting Arts is offering two summer camps in 2004. The first, a two-week music camp, lasts from June 21 to July 2 at Peterson Middle School. The cost is $150 for students in grades one through six to receive training in a number of areas, including percussion, vocals and composition.

The Visual & Performing Arts Camp will run from June 28 to July 16 at Braly Elementary School. The performance camp, which costs $300, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the visual arts camp will last from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and cost $150. Students in third to eighth grade will be divided by age and ability level to stage a theatrical production of "Bugsy Malone" at the end of the program.
