The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Vandalism—May 30, 12:21 a.m., 500 block of N. Lawrence Expressway. A window smash alarm was set off at a local business and within minutes, officers were on the scene. The owner of the business opened the store, nothing was found missing, and no suspects were located.

Possession of a controlled substance—May 29, 7:15 p.m., Lakehaven Drive and Lawrence Expressway. An officer stopped a driver for a vehicle code violation. The driver stepped out of the vehicle and identified himself but did not have a license or proof of insurance. A search of his vehicle turned up a box containing white crystalline powder and paraphernalia for snorting or smoking it. The two grams of the substance­a usable amount—tested positive for methamphetamines.

Possession of a controlled substance—May 29, 3:50 p.m., 300 block of Hiddenlake Drive. Officers contacted a man after suspecting he had crystal methamphetamines. A search of his wallet revealed a pink baggie with a white, powdery substance in it. It tested positive for amphetamines at Department of Public Safety headquarters.

Sale of alcohol to a minor—May 27, 5:20 p.m., 900 block of E. Duane Avenue. A clerk sold alcohol to a police decoy who was under 21. He was cited for a misdemeanor and released on the scene.
