I must take issue with your opinion column of May 26, wherein you chastise Councilman Fred Fowler for his alleged attempts to intimidate you into publishing a letter he wished published.

I agree that you have discretion in which letters will or will not be published. The issue I have with your column is your assertion that if in your judgement a letter is a "diatribe" you would refrain from publishing same.

If that assertion is true, you have certainly changed your criteria since last city council election time.
