Resurrection wins
The Resurrection School girls seventh and eighth grade volleyball team posted an undefeated season to win the championship this spring in the 13-team San Jose Catholic Athletic League. Resurrection, under the leadership of coaches Jacque Wright and Tori Burns, won the varsity B (West) league title.
Players needed
A CYSA boys under 15 Class 3 soccer team based in Los Altos is looking for two new players for the fall season. Those interested should call Simon Weiss at 650.759.4303.
Soccer sign-ups
The De Anza Youth Soccer League will hold registration for the fall season on June 12, 35 p.m., at Creekside Park. Boys and girls ages 510 are eligible.
Teams will be coached by parent volunteers and practices will be run by professional trainers. Under 6 teams will play all of their games in Cupertino, and the under 8 and under 10 teams will play half of their games in Cupertino and the other half locally.
The registration fee is $125 per player and includes USYSA membership fee, a uniform (shirt, shorts, and socks), a ball, injury insurance, participation awards and a picture package. Financial assistance is available for players in need.

Soccer tryouts
Tryouts for a De Anza girls under 16 class 1 soccer team will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:306:30 p.m., at Creekside Park in Cupertino. The team is professional coached and trained by Bob Joyce, coach of the four-time State Cup champion De Anza Sharks.
