Possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamines—June 12, 4 a.m., 700 block of San Juan Drive. Officers responded to a call of a possible family disturbance and found a man and a woman under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of the residence revealed a plastic baggie with .09 grams of methamphetamines, several hypodermic needles and a glass bulbous pipe. Both people were arrested and transported to public safety headquarters to be booked.
Automobile burglary—June 11, 2:36 p.m., 400 block of Cumulus Avenue. Officers responding to a call of an automobile burglary in progress found a man—matching the description of the suspect—leaning into the passenger window of a vehicle and removing items from inside. The reporting party did not know the man at the car and did not think the man had permission to be in the car.
Commercial burglary—June 10, 11 p.m., 600 block of E. Arques Avenue. An unknown person cut the hinges on the front gate of an industrial yard, entered the yard and broke into two cargo storage containers. The person stole 400 pounds of aluminum sheets and miscellaneous stainless steel scraps.
Forgery—June 10, 12:30 p.m., 700 block of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road. A man tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a sporting goods store. The man and another man were detained and arrested due to lack of credibility in their stories. One man was charged with the use of the bill, the other with conspiracy.
