Violation of a protective order—Aug. 1, 12:10 p.m., 500 block of Columbia Avenue. A man violated a restraining order by coming within 100 yards of the woman he was not supposed to come near, and he violated his parole by doing it in a car while he was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested and booked into county jail.
Urination in public—July 30, 1:30 a.m., Washington and Sunnyvale avenues. An officer patrolling a department store parking lot saw a man urinating on the right rear tire of someone else's vehicle. The "urinator" said, "I had to go" and didn't deny the act. He was cited and released.
Possession of drug paraphernalia—July 28, Hollenbeck Avenue and Remington Drive. Two men were stopped for a vehicle-code violation. During a search, a hard object was found in the passenger's pocket. The officer took it out to see if it was a knife and found that it was a 3-inch glass pipe with residue inside.
Possession of a controlled substance—July 27, 11:36 p.m., 600 block of Almanor Avenue. An officer approaching a car saw two men inside handling a green, leafy substance that he recognized as marijuana. When he contacted the men, he saw a glass bulbous pipe in the passenger's lap. The pipe contained a white, crystalline rock. Both men were arrested.
