Possession of a controlled substance—Sept. 3, 6:42 p.m., 100 block of S. Sunnyvale Avenue. Officers met with a man outside a hotel and found three clear glass pipes loaded with a usable amount of amphetamines in his room. Another person inside the room claimed responsibility for the pipes and the drugs, and both were arrested. Both were found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Injury on city property—Sept. 3, 7:32 a.m., 500 block of E. Remington Avenue. Officers responded to the call of a person who fell on city property. They found a woman who had tripped over a white curb in a parking lot. She suffered minor abrasions to her hands and upper lip in the fall and was complaining of chest pains. She was transported to medical care.
Possession of a controlled substance, amphetamines—Sept. 3, 3:17 a.m., 800 block of W. El Camino Real. After stopping a man, officers saw signs that he was under the influence of a controlled substance. After receiving permission to search him, officers found a glass tube with a broken bulbous end and a black cylindrical container. Inside the container was a small plastic baggie with a white crystalline substance inside. The man was arrested for being under the influence and for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Automobile burglary—Aug. 26, 6:30 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. An unknown person broke into another person's car and stole a Dell laptop.
