Possession of marijuana—Sept. 13, 10:04 p.m., Calla Drive and Gail Avenue. Officers contacted and searched two men sitting in a parked car. They found several empty plastic baggies, a scale and less than 1 gram of marijuana. Both men were cited.
Automobile burglary—Sept. 13, 7:10 p.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. On Monday evening, an unknown person stole a fanny pack, portable CD player, sunglasses, a T-shirt and $10 in coins from a parked vehicle.
Under the influence of a controlled substance—Sept. 13, 12:49 a.m., Borregas and Del Norte avenues. After conducting a traffic stop, an officer found that the driver was driving with a suspended license. The driver was speaking rapidly, had a dry mouth and appeared very excited as he talked to the officer. The passenger in the car was on parole for drug-related offenses. A pipe was found in the passenger's jacket. Both men were arrested
Automobile burglary—Sept. 11, 12 p.m. 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. An unknown person smashed the front passenger window of another person's vehicle and stole a radar detector, cellular phone and a wireless headset while the vehicle was parked in an underground parking lot.
Petty theft—Sept. 9, 4 p.m., 1600 block of Hollenbeck Avenue. A woman entered a store and put two bottles of perfume in her purse. She walked to a different section of the store and removed the security tags from both bottles before leaving the store. She was stopped outside by personnel.
