The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Driver in possession of marijuana—Sept. 29, 1:39 a.m., 500 block of E. California Avenue. A car was stopped for having an obscured license plate. The driver was found to be driving on a suspended license, and marijuana was found on each occupant of the vehicle.

Possession of methamphetamines—Sept. 27, 2:21 a.m. Borregas Avenue. Officers contacted a driver suspected of driving under the influence. When the man retrieved his ID from his wallet, officers noticed a plastic bag in his hand. They suspected it was drugs and found it contained methamphetamines. The man did not obey officers' orders and had to be handcuffed.

Possession of drug paraphernalia—Sept. 24, 8:45 p.m. 500 block of E. El Camino Real. An officer contacted a man near a Dumpster behind a restaurant. The man's eyes were red and watery, and when the officer asked the man to stand without leaning on the wall, he began to sway. The officer could smell alcohol on the man's person and breath. During a search, the officer found a loaded glass smoking pipe.

Battery—Sept. 24, 8 p.m., 800 block of Borregas Avenue. A woman reported that during a heated argument, her partner grabbed her by the arm and pushed her chest with both hands.

Possession of cocaine—Sept. 23, 11:04 p.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. A man was contacted by officers outside a club, because they suspected he was smoking "crack" in his parked car. The man fled on foot and was apprehended by security personnel. After he was caught, cocaine was found in his pocked. He was also found to be under the influence of a stimulant.
