The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Automobile burglary—Oct. 15, 3:55 a.m., 100 block of Lawrence Station Road. Officers responding to the scene of an automobile burglary found a window smashed and the dashboard near the stereo ripped out. The owner of the car said a CD visor case was missing.

Residential prowling—Oct. 15, 2:03 a.m., 600 block of San Pedro Avenue. Two men were found on private property without visible or legal business there. The first man was arrested without incident, and .1 gram of cocaine was found on him. The second man resisted arrest and his combativeness resulted in one officer being cut on his hand. The second man was intoxicated and unable to take care of himself.

Automobile burglary—Oct. 14, 11:30 p.m., 1200 block of Henderson Avenue. Sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, an unknown person broke into a car and took a pair of sunglasses and a CD player with a detachable faceplate. In the process, the person may have touched a CD jewelcase the owner left on the front passenger seat.

Tampering with a telephone line—Oct. 14, 10:05 p.m., 1000 block of Escalon Avenue. A man told officers that his live-in girlfriend had punched him several times after making a comment about an ex-girlfriend of his. As he called the police, she pulled the phone line out of the wall. The girlfriend was arrested.
