The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Automobile burglary—Oct. 22, 6:45 p.m., 400 block of Old San Francisco Road. Unknown person(s) forced their way into a parked car and stole a pair of black ballroom dancing shoes.

Possession of drug paraphernalia—Oct. 22, 2:40 a.m., 100 block of Sunnyvale Avenue. An officer saw two people next to a parked car in the back of a motel parking lot. When he approached them, one went inside his room. The other person gave the officer permission to enter the room where the first person had gone. During a search, the officer found a pipe—the kind used to smoke methamphetamines—in the man's pocket. The man was also suspected of being under the influence.

Possession of a controlled substance, amphetamines—Oct. 21, 10:39 p.m., W. Eaglewood and Borregas Avenue. Officers stopped a truck for a vehicle code violation and found the driver had a suspended license. While "pat" searching the passenger, a "crank pipe" and "ice" were found on him. The men admitted they were towing a stolen generator.

Possession of a controlled substance, amphetamines—Oct. 21, 3:19 p.m., Old San Francisco Road. Officers stopped to assist a man trying to push a car down the middle of the street. The man identified himself and gave the officers permission to search the vehicle. The officer found a folded $1 bill under the driver's seat with a white crystalline substance that tested positive for amphetamines. The driver was arrested and taken to county jail.
