Grand theft—Nov. 1, 7:30 a.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. A man parked his car on the street on Oct. 30, and when he returned to it two days later, all the tires and rims had been stolen. The rims and tires were worth $1,000.
Suspicious circumstances—Oct. 30, 9:05 p.m., 1100 block of Innovation Way. Officers responded to Sunnyvale Fire Station 5 on a report of a man detained for suspicious circumstances. The man said he had gotten lost and ended up at the fire station. He consented to a search and collection of film, mail, photos and fingerprints.
Under the influence of a stimulant—Oct. 29, 11:39 p.m., 1200 block of Wildwood Avenue. While on patrol in full uniform, an officer contacted a man. The officer suspected the man was under the influence of a controlled substance, specifically a stimulant, so he conducted an evaluation and concluded that the man was under the influence. The man was arrested without incident.
Possession of methamphetamines—Oct. 29, 11:10 p.m., 300 block of E. Weddell Drive. An officer conducting a security check at a motel saw a man walk out to his car and then through the parking lot. He contacted the man and found .2 gram of methamphetamine in his car, as well a plastic straw used to snort methamphetamines. The man was arrested and taken to county jail.
