The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Automobile burglary—Nov. 1, 9:30 p.m., 1100 block of Morse Avenue. Sometime during the night, someone entered a vehicle and took a laptop computer and a black leather portfolio containing two checkbooks and credit account information.

Automobile burglary—Oct. 30, 900 block of Golden Oak Court. In the carport of an apartment complex, someone entered a vehicle and took a black suede coat from the front seat and a 2005 DMV tag from the rear license plate.

Possession of a controlled substance—Oct. 29, 2:42 a.m., 900 block of E. Caribbean Drive. Officers contacted two people parked in front of a closed business. During a search, they found Vicodin, amphetamines and narcotic smoking paraphernalia. Both people were arrested.

False information to an officer—Oct. 28, 3:39 a.m., Mathilda and Olive avenues. An officer contacted a driver for a vehicle code violation and the driver gave a false name and date of birth. The name and date of birth belonged to another person, and items in the car and physical descriptions helped officers correctly identify the driver. He admitted to lying to the officers and said he had done it to protect his passenger's identity.

Vandalism—Oct. 27, 7 a.m., 1300 block of Rosalia Way. Someone vandalized a shed and a portable bathroom with spray paint on the Peterson Middle School campus.
