Felony possession of pepper spray—Nov. 14, 9:24 p.m., 700 block of Brahms Way. During a search of a woman's house, officers found a canister of oleoresin capsicum spray (pepper spray) on her key ring. The woman was also found to be under the influence of alcohol and had an open bottle of wine with her.
Dissuading a witness—Nov. 13, 9:40 a.m., 700 block of San Miguel Avenue. A man saw three men stealing a BMX bike, and when he went after them and recovered the bike, they threw rocks at him and then threw rocks at his house, almost striking a woman there. The three men fled the scene but were later arrested by police officers.
Assault and battery—Nov. 13, 3:38 a.m., 400 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. An uninvited man entered a woman's home. She claims he touched her back and that she did not want his advances. She had to call the police to get him to leave. The man was contacted by police and arrested.
Possession of a controlled substance—Nov. 8, 10:03 p.m., Mathilda and Iowa Avenues. Officers stopped a truck driver for driving without a rear license plate. The temporary operator's permit on the back window had also expired in October. The driver had no license, and an officer's found a small baggie containing a crystal-like substance in his front coin pocket. He was arrested, and the substance tested positive for amphetamines.
