Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
False impersonation—Nov. 29, 3 p.m., 700 block of All America Way. A woman came to the Department of Public Safety to report that her identity had been falsely given during a traffic stop. Her twin sister used her identity. The officer who issued the citation for the stop is investigating the matter.

Commercial burglary—Nov. 29, 10:32 a.m., 1000 block of E. El Camino Real. Several burglaries have occurred at an automobile repair shop in the past month. An unknown person(s) has been entering the business at night and taking small amounts of cash from the till. So far, the total is about $100.

Counterfeit checks—Nov. 17, 3 p.m., 1200 block of Wolfe Road. A business reported that someone had cashed a counterfeit check at the store.

Petty theft—Nov. 10, 12:15 p.m., 600 block of Kifer Road. Store personnel stopped a man as he attempted to leave the location without paying for merchandise.

Commercial burglary—Nov. 10, 4:45 p.m., 200 block of Washington Avenue. A person entered a department store with a pair of scissors. It was during normal hours and the person used the scissors to cut the tags off of clothing. The person then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items and was stopped by store security.
