Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Burglary—Jan. 2, 2:11 p.m., 500 block of Old San Francisco Road. An unknown person stole a VCR and DVD player from a social room at a church.

Threats—Jan. 1, 4:20 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. A worker was told by her manager to go outside her store and greet customers. She did and stood outside next to a solicitor, who threatened to kill her for being there.

Theft—Dec. 31, 6:50 p.m., 400 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. While a woman shopped in a supermarket, someone stole her wallet, including her driver's license, $22, a work permit and $30 in gift cards.

Found property—Dec. 31, 1:27 p.m., 700 block of All America Way. A woman found a light blue scooter in her backyard. She kept it for a week, but no one in her complex claimed it.

Residential burglary—Dec. 31, 12:24 p.m., 1200 Vienna Drive. A person was house-sitting at a home and found that someone had thrown a bear statue through a window. The person did not know if anything had been taken.

Drunk in public—Dec. 28, 9:30 p.m., A man with long brown hair, thermal underwear and red shorts—who appeared drunk—was inside a laundromat harassing some young women.

Domestic violence—Dec. 28, 2:03 p.m., 1500 block of Lochinvar Avenue. A 28-year-old woman was hitting her family members, including her children.
