Clinic takes up temporary digs in Sunnyvale
By Jason Goldman-Hall
Camino Medical Group's youngest patients in Sunnyvale have a shorter drive for pediatric care now that the group has moved its pediatric clinic from Mountain View to a new building at 877 W. Fremont Ave., Building N.

The clinic—which used to share space with the OB/GYN practice in Mountain View—will remain in Sunnyvale until 2007 when construction should end on Camino's new facility in Mountain View on El Camino Real.

Construction for the new facility should begin this year, following the Mountain View City Council's approval at the end of 2004.

Four doctors—Jane Auh, Charles Brummer, Elliot Lepler and Patricia Samson—moved with the clinic and will now see their patients in Sunnyvale.

According to Camino spokeswoman Cynthia Greaves, one quarter of Camino's 200,000 patients live in Sunnyvale, and over one third of all people in Sunnyvale use the medical group. She said that Camino hopes to not only give their doctors more room to work, but also to improve service for Sunnyvale residents until the main facility is built, which will have adequate room for six other Camino clinics to come together at one location.

"That's always been our hope, to better serve our cities," Greaves said. "But we don't want the people of Sunnyvale to think that our ability to serve them will be diminished by our moving into the new facility in Mountain View."

The number for the clinic will remain the same—650.934.7856.
