The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Suspicious circumstances—Jan. 20, 10:11 p.m., 200 block of W. El Camino Real. A woman called the Department of Public Safety to report that a bike had been parked in the hallway of her apartment building for 45 minutes. She thought it was unusual, and didn't think the bike belonged to her neighbor.

Suspicious circumstances—Jan. 20, 3:29 p.m., 1100 block of Borregas Avenue. A resident found that the window stripping on one of their house's windows had been removed as though someone else had tried to gain entry to the house through the window. It occurred sometime during the night, but no entry was made and nothing was taken.

Residential burglary—Jan. 20, 12:22 p.m., 1000 block of Ticonderoga Avenue. A resident left the house for two hours, and upon returning found that someone had broken in.

Person causing a disturbance—Jan. 20, 2:46 a.m., 600 block of Poplar Avenue. A caller reported that a roommate had brought someone home from a bar and that person was refusing to leave their house.

Suspicious circumstances—Jan. 19, 8:44 a.m., 600 block of E. Arques Avenue. As a security officer pulled into a parking lot to check out a vehicle, the vehicle quickly took off. The officer reported that he thought he might have interrupted some nefarious activity. The vehicle that sped away was an older model red truck.
