Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Lewd acts—Jan. 27, 2:21 p.m., 700 block of Brahms Way. A man was seen masturbating in the back lot of an apartment complex. The man was wearing a black beanie, a green or brown shirt and a backpack. He fled the scene on a bike, up Cezanne Drive towards El Camino Real.

Vandalism—Jan. 27, 1:54 p.m. 600 block of Iris Avenue. An apartment complex sign was vandalized with paint. Some evidence was left at the scene and there was over $1,000 in damage.

Theft—Jan. 27, 11:50 a.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. A contribution container with loose coins in it was taken from a store counter. The employees of the store say they have the theft on video.

Burglary—Jan. 27, 11:47 a.m., 900 block of Kifer Road. The passenger side window of a person's car was smashed sometime the day before. The owner of the car is not sure if entry was made into the vehicle; the stereo is still in place, but a full inventory of the car has not been done.

Grand theft—Jan. 27, 2:09 a.m., 200 block of Devonshire Way. All the wheels and tires were taken off of a 1998 Chevy Suburban.

Battery—Jan. 24, 4:45 p.m., 200 block of Lakemuir Drive. During a fight between a man and his girlfriend, the girlfriend broke a window and hit the man. He declined medical attention.
