The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Missing person—March 12, 12:35 p.m., 700 block of Borregas Avenue. A woman reported that her 24-year-old nephew had been missing from Half Moon Bay since March 2. His friends also believed he was missing.

Theft—March 11, 6:54 p.m., Fairwood and Sandia avenues. A woman left her purse in her unlocked vehicle. Within 10 minutes of leaving her car, unknown people took her wallet from her purse. No other items seem to have been removed.

Found property—March 11, 10:51 a.m., 700 block of Morse Avenue. Marijuana and a smoking pipe were found in the bathroom of a public park. The worker who found them placed them in a maintenance shed.

Suspicious circumstance—March 10, 9:03 a.m., 1100 block of Lily Avenue. A man was found sleeping in his car and had been for several hours.

Commercial burglary—March 8, 11:16 a.m., 200 block of Alturas Avenue. Someone reported that they had gotten an anonymous call that their van—that had been stolen—was on someone else's property with a broken window.

Commercial burglary—March 8, 8 a.m. 300 block of N. Pastoria Avenue. A man arrived at a vacant building in the morning and called public safety because he believed someone was already in the building.
