The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Commercial burglary--April 9, 7 a.m., 700 block of The Dalles Avenue. An unknown person broke into the conference room at Serra Park on the north side of the park.

Drunk in public--April 9, 3:48 a.m., 900 block of E. Caribbean Drive. Officers met a janitor at the front gate of a building. He told them he had gone upstairs to clean the men's bathroom and found someone drunk inside.

Under the influence--April 8, 10:07 a.m., 600 block of Kifer Road. Someone called the Department of Public Safety after watching a man pull into a parking lot while drinking from a can hidden in a paper bag. The caller believed the can contained beer.

Domestic violence--April 7, 3:35 p.m., 200 block of Velvetlake Drive. A woman's 29-year-old son destroyed a door in her house and tried to hit her.

Gambling--April 7, 2:12 p.m., E. El Camino Real and S. Mathilda Avenue. A 40-year-old man with a goatee was playing "Three Card Monty" and swindling people out of their money.

Battery--April 7, 12:02 a.m., Borregas Avenue and Garner Drive. A man in the El Camino Hospital emergency room said he was hit with a bat at a Sunnyvale grocery store. The emergency room staff tried to get more information from him.

Drunk in public--April 6, 12:27 a.m., 700 block of E. El Camino Real. A man passed out in a parking lot near some bushes. He was breathing but unconscious.
