Betty Breisch
Betty Ferguson Breisch died in Menlo Park on March 28 after a battle with cortical basal degeneration, a rare neurological disorder. She was 74.
Breisch was born in San Fernando on May 20, 1930 to Clyde Eugene and Jenny Styffe Ferguson. She graduated from Willamette University, received her teaching certificate from San José State University and a master's degree in education from the University of Kansas.
Breisch spent 18 years helping people find permanent and temporary employment. She worked for the Devry Institute of Technology, Applegate Personnel Services and Westaff. She was active in the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Clara County Employer Advisory Council.
Breisch was also an active member of the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church for almost 30 years and an avid tennis player at the Sunnyvale Tennis Center.
Breisch was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Joseph Breisch Jr. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Clabaugh of Huntington Beach; her three daughters, Barbara Moulden of Sherwood Forest, Md., and Sue Johnson and Kristi Breisch, both of Menlo Park. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Bobby, Betsy, Travis and Clara.
A memorial service was held on April 16 at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church.

Cecile Taylor
Cecile R. Taylor died Feb. 19 in Sunnyvale at the age of 92.
She was born June 9, 1912 in Lomita Park, Calif. and was a resident of Sunnyvale for more than 20 years. Prior to living in Sunnyvale, she lived in West San Jose on the border of Cupertino, also for more than 20 years. She worked as an executive secretary for Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale and was a member of the Sunnyvale Senior Club. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ashworth Taylor. She is survived by daughter Lorraine and son-in-law Domenic Carrieri of Sunnyvale; grandson Mike Carrieri and his fiancée, Donna Massa, of Santa Clara; granddaughter Katie Carrieri of Sunnyvale; and grandson Steve Carrieri and granddaughter-in-law Laura of Sunnyvale.
