The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Fraud--May 21, 8:10 p.m., 1200 block of Poplar Avenue. A woman reported that someone covertly changed her phone number and used a closed credit card account to get cash advances.

Escaped mental patient--May 21, 8:05 p.m., 1200 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. A son left a message on his father's answering machine saying that by the time the father heard the message, the son would be dead.

Damage by city property--May 21, 2:01 p.m., 800 block of The Dalles Avenue. A tree limb from a city-owned tree fell on a blue Chevy Suburban and damaged it.

Domestic violence--May 20, 6:45 p.m., 900 block of Meadowlark Lane. A man hit his son in the head with his fist. The father left, and the son declined medical attention.

Vehicle accident--May 20, 2:29 p.m., 1100 block of Driftwood Court. A resident backed his car into a parked taxicab and refused to exchange information with the taxi driver because he said the cab was illegally parked.

Burglary--May 20, 10 a.m., 100 block of E. Fremont Avenue. A man reported damage to his security system and a possible break-in at his store. He said he had a security video with suspect information on it.

Theft--May 19, 7:03 p.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. A man's cell phone was stolen from his car two days before he called it in. He'd left the windows open, and when he returned to his vehicle, the phone was gone.
