Sunnyvale public safety officers arrested Giuliano "Frank" Spinetta, 64, of Menlo Park on May 18, on charges of aggravated sexual assault. According to public safety spokesman Cpt. Craig Farley, Giuliano was arrested after a three-month investigation.
In early February, an unnamed, third-party source told officers that a sexual assault had occurred and that the juvenile victim had met the suspect over the Internet.
Detectives used a search warrant to get Spinetta's name from his email account's Internet provider. Farley said the department and the district attorney's office are looking for other victims.
"If this person has done it once, they may have done it before," Farley said.
Farley would say only that the assault took place at an "outdoor location in Sunnyvale."
