The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Residential burglary--May 28, 7:52 p.m., 100 block of Killean Ct. A man broke into his girlfriend's house and left threatening notes all over, inside the pockets of her clothes and on her car.

Animal attack--May 28, 6:31 p.m., 500 block of Morse Avenue. A pit bull jumped its fence and bit a neighbor and his dog.

Lost property--May 27, 8:31 p.m., 500 block of N. Lawrence Expressway. A woman lunching at a Mexican restaurant sat outside. She left her purse behind, and when she returned to get it, it was gone.

Fraud--May 27, 5:33 p.m., 700 block of Sequoia Drive. While looking over her credit card statement, a woman found a suspicious listing on the statement. The account had been used, but not by the woman.

Embezzlement--May 27, 9:17 a.m., 100 block of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road. A female employee embezzled $20,000 from a business in the past year before she was dismissed from the job in February.

Found property--May 26, 12:32 p.m., 800 block of W. El Camino Real. A man found a substance he believed to be cocaine in some garbage that had been dumped on his property.

Found property--May 26, 11:11 a.m., 1600 block of Finch Way. A woman found a "huge" kitchen knife in her yard.

Vandalism--May 25, 7:50 p.m., 700 block of E. Ahwanee Way. An unknown person(s) smashed the rear window of another person's car with a beer bottle. The bottle was still on the back seat of the car.
