The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Vandalism--Aug. 27, 6:13 a.m., 1000 block of W. Olive Avenue. A paper delivery driver found an orange Mitsubishi on the north side with its windows smashed in.

Wellness check--Aug. 26, 6:56 p.m., W. El Camino Real. A man--possibly mentally ill--grabbed another man's belongings and threw them into the street.

Battery--Aug. 26, 4:02 p.m., 1100 block of W. El Camino Real. A girl, her sister and a friend were followed by a group of girls from their school, and the group of girls tried to assault the sisters.

Theft--Aug. 26, 5:38 p.m., 600 block of W. Olive Avenue. A man's bike was stolen while he was inside the library. The lock--meant to prevent theft--was stolen as well.

Found property--Aug. 26, 7:52 a.m., 600 block of Carmel Avenue. Public safety officers visited an apartment several times during the night. The next day, neighbors found drug pipes and other "evidence" outside.

Suspicious circumstances--Aug. 25, 6:32 p.m., Lockheed Martin Way. An individual in a green Honda Civic was driving the car down railroad tracks.

Request for assistance--Aug. 24, 7:09 p.m., 900 block of Helen Avenue. A woman called the police because she was distracted by the laughing of a neighbor's child. He was laughing because she had backed over something he placed behind her car.
