Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Causing a disturbance--Sept. 3, 9:40 p.m., 100 block of S. Murphy Avenue. A man in his 20s, wearing a fisherman's hat, red shirt and red checkered pants was bothering customers and talking to himself in front of a business.

Theft--Sept. 3, 2:55 p.m., 1100 block of Morse Avenue. A man bought a refrigerator and bed from another man for $270. When he went to pick them up, however, they'd been stolen from the side of the house.

Dogfight--Sept. 3, 1:04 p.m., 1000 block of Borregas Avenue. A pit bull ran out of its house and bit a dog that was walking by on a leash.

Violation of a court order--Sept. 2, 10:46 p.m., 800 block of Knickerbocker Drive. A resident called public safety after getting phone calls from someone she had a restraining order against.

Assault--Sept. 2, 5:25 p.m., 400 block of S. Sunnyvale Avenue. Someone tried to push someone else off a second story balcony.

Drunk in public--Sept. 2, 2:15 p.m., W. El Camino Real and Hollenbeck Avenue. Two men were drunk outside a magic store.

Theft--Sept. 1, 8:54 p.m., 300 block of W. El Camino Real. A wallet was taken from a woman's purse while she dined at a restaurant.

iTheft--Sept. 1, 8 a.m., 900 block of Exmoor Way. An iPod was stolen.

Attempted theft--Sept. 1, 12:18 a.m., 1200 block of Forgewood Avenue. A man with a goatee tried to steal aluminum from behind a business.
