The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Blocking traffic--Sept. 17, 11:43 a.m., Cascade Drive. A resident on Enderby Way blocked off the street with handmade signs that read "No soccer parking." This put children at risk by making them walk across the street to access San Antonio Park.
Found property--Sept. 17, 11:19 a.m., 500 block of E. El Camino Real. A resident found the lock on her shed pried open, and two bikes she did not recognize were chained together inside.
Damage by city property--Sept. 17, 10:18 a.m., 600 block of Dorset Way. A 15- to 20-foot long tree branch fell on a resident's car last night.
Found property--Sept. 16, 7:21 p.m., 1100 block of Sonora Court. A security guard found a large dagger that he would like the Department of Public Safety to pick up.
Missing person--Sept. 16, 4:03 p.m., 1400 block of Floyd Avenue. A 32-year-old man left on Sept. 15 to go fishing. He was last heard from around midnight, but has not been heard from since and cannot be reached on his cell phone.
Attempted robbery--Sept. 16, 1:37 p.m., 700 block of E. El Camino Real. A man with a gun tucked in his waistband gave a note to a pharmacist demanding certain medications.
Domestic violence--Sept. 15, 11:10 p.m., 800 block of Lakewood Drive. A mother and her daughter got in a heated shoving match.
Automobile burglary--Sept. 15, 8:09 p.m., 300 block of W. El Camino Real. The owner of a restaurant called the department of public safety to report three automobile burglaries. In each case, a laptop computer was stolen.
