Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Residential burglary--Oct. 7, 10:58 p.m., 800 block of Quetta Avenue. Someone entered a house through a back door and ransacked the home, stealing a purse and other items.

Vehicle burglary--Oct. 7, 6:58 p.m., 900 block of S. Wolfe Road. A man reported that his car had been broken into on Aug. 25, and an amp and a set of speakers had been stolen. He has since sold the car.

Missing person--Oct. 7, 2:02 p.m., 400 block of E. Hendy Avenue. Someone called the Department of Public Safety to report a friend was missing and had not reported to work.

Vandalism--Oct. 7, 6:27 p.m., 400 block of E. Hendy Avenue. An unknown person threw an orange through a window, shattering it and causing less than $400 in damage. There were no suspects or leads at the time.

Exhibiting a weapon--Oct. 6, 8:55 p.m., 1300 block of Socorro Avenue. Someone's roommate pulled a knife.

Exhibiting a weapon--Oct. 6, 8:40 p.m., 100 block of W. Persian Drive. A teenager pulled a knife on someone at the Brass Rail.

Burglary--Oct. 6, 12:28 a.m., 300 block of E. Evelyn Avenue. While a woman was in the hospital, a man broke into her house and stole lamps and jewelry.

Lewd act--Oct. 5, 4:02 p.m., W. Ahwanee Drive. Two minutes before she called in, a woman saw a man masturbating inside his car as he drove by. He was driving an older model Toyota pickup.
