Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Battery--Oct. 20, 2:57 p.m., 1100 block of Fairwood Avenue. A group of students walking home from school were confronted by another student who choked one of them and kicked another.

Damage by city property--Oct. 20, 1:35 p.m., 500 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. City power equipment broke the windshield of a man's car.

Vandalism--Oct. 20, 10:05 a.m., 800 block of Lakechime Drive. Two adults at a skateboard park began tampering with a safety bar on one of the jumps. The caller said they did not look like they were from the Department of Parks and Recreation.

Theft--Oct. 20, 10:03 a.m., 900 block of Rockefeller Drive. Someone stole a man's bag from his unlocked 2005 Honda Tucson during the night. There were no credit cards or money in the bag, just $35 worth of papers.

Theft--Oct. 19, 7:39 p.m., 400 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. Someone's pants and wallet were stolen from his locked locker.

Theft--Oct. 19, 7:35 p.m., 700 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. A man reported that he believed someone used a debit card that he lost or had stolen at a supermarket.

Pedestrian hit by a car--Oct. 19, 9:44 a.m., E. El Camino Real. Someone hit a bicyclist while driving. Neither person was hurt.
