The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Causing a disturbance--Nov. 20, 6:16 a.m., 800 block of Pyrus Way. The horn of a blue Pontiac sounded off for at least five minutes straight. The car's owner could not be contacted.

Domestic violence--Nov. 20, 2:36 a.m., 200 block of Ferndale Avenue. A man hit a woman in the shoulder after she knocked his ball cap off his head.

Grand theft--Nov. 19, 4:21 p.m., 1000 block of Blazingwood Drive. Someone stole a commercial leaf blower worth $400.

Counterfeit bills--Nov. 19, 3:44 p.m., 900 block of E. El Camino Real. A man attempted to pay for something with a counterfeit $100 bill. The cashier recognized the fake bill and called the police, but the man fled before they arrived.

Suspicious circumstances--Nov. 19, 8:45 p.m., 300 block of W. Olive Avenue. Someone heard the sound of breaking glass, then a woman's scream. There was no answer when they knocked on the apartment door.

Recovered vehicle--Nov. 18, 5:49 p.m., 400 block of E. El Camino Real. A green 1995 Ford Windstar was found in a bar parking lot. It had been reported stolen to Gilroy police a day earlier.

Auto burglary--Nov. 18, 9:24 p.m., 500 block of E. El Camino Real. The hard top and license plate of a Jeep were stolen while it was parked in front of a house.

Commercial burglary--Nov. 18, 5:11 a.m., 700 block of E. Evelyn Avenue. A man discovered that 10 reels of electrical wire worth $6,000 had been stolen.
