The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
TheftDec. 3, 8:54 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. A black moped was stolen from the employees parking lot of a store between 11 a.m. and 9:16 p.m.
Found property--Dec. 3, 1:36 p.m., 100 block of Blythe Court. Someone found a two-tiered safe in a parking stall that appeared to have been broken into.
Possession of a controlled substance--Dec. 3, 1:49 p.m., 800 block of Lakechime Drive. A man called the department of public safety 10 minutes after seeing possible drug activity in the bathroom of a public park. Two men exchanged an item in the bathroom that resembled a controlled substance.
Vandalism--Dec. 3, 8:52 a.m., 700 block of Madrone Avenue. The word "rat" was spray-painted on a woman's car, on her mother's car, and on their garage door. The woman thinks a neighbor did it in retaliation.
Property damage--Dec. 3, 2:52 a.m., Bernardo and The Dalles avenues. Someone burned some traffic cones in an intersection.
Domestic violence--Dec. 2, 1:12 p.m., Florence Avenue. A woman told her sister that her boyfriend had beaten her up. The girlfriend was supposed to drop her children off at her sister's, but the man would not allow her to.
