The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Request for assistance--Dec. 31, 10:02 p.m., 500 block of Fort Laramie Drive. A woman told the Department of Public Safety that her granddaughter was despondent over a recent breakup and might take something. The girl seemed to be more depressed than usual.
Warrant service-- Dec. 31, 8:42 p.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. A man called DPS to say that a man, who was staying at a hotel with the reporting party's wife, was wanted in Alabama for a felony DUI.
Burglary-- Dec. 30, 9:59 a.m.100 block of Lawrence Station. Four storage units and two recreational vehicles were broken into around 3:45 a.m.
Automobile burglary-- Dec. 30, 8:41 a.m., 1200 block of Tasman Drive. During the night, someone broke into a dark gray Dodge Ram pickup and left a sweatshirt behind.
Found property-- Dec. 30, 8:39 a.m., 1200 block of Tasman Drive. A resident found a backpack and bike dumped outside his parking space and suspects that the items belong to the person who broke into the Dodge Ram nearby.
Automobile burglary-- Dec. 29, 8:24 p.m., 400 block of Palmetto Drive. A resident's Honda--parked on the street--was broken into sometime in the past three days. Someone took a CD player from the dashboard, $200, the owner's manual and registration information. The car may have been left unlocked.
