Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Theft--Jan. 7, 7:10 p.m., 1600 block of Ontario Drive. A woman said her daughter's boyfriend stole her purse. He later returned it but did not return her bank card and other contents.

Theft--Jan. 7, 5:27 p.m., 500 block of E. Remington Drive. There was a series of petty thefts from a cash box at a business over a few days. Then someone tried to steal a computer and some cell phones. The cell phones were taken, but not the computer.

Grand theft--Jan. 7, 1:26 p.m., 500 block of S. Mathilda Avenue. While a man was working in one room at his office, someone entered a different room and stole his laptop computer.

Battery--Jan. 6, 3:57 p.m., 1700 block of Noranda Drive. A man's neighbor was threatening to kill him.

Found property--Jan. 6, 3:25 p.m., Tasman Drive. A cash register box was found in a creek.

Theft--Jan. 6, 1:34 p.m., 1200 block of Vienna Drive. A woman said that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a CD player and two cell phone headphones.

Drunk in public--Jan. 6, 12:24 p.m., 900 block of W. El Camino Real. A man was seen in the bushes behind a fast food drive-through window.

Burglary--Jan. 6, 12:19 p.m., 800 block of Ahwanee Drive. An unknown person cut a hole in a Pepsi machine and stole between $50 and $100 in dollar bills.
